Following its public unveil in concept form at the Geneva Motor Show a couple of years ago, the Volvo V90 is scheduled to arrive in production form on February 18. However, the much-awaited station wagon has been fully revealed already, thanks to these official images hitting the internet.
Like the new S90 sedan, the V90 station wagon looks thoroughly modern and striking. The front-end is inspired from the S90 while the rear-end mimics that of the concept shown in 2014.
As expected, the V90 has been designed around the same Scalable Product Architecture as the S90 sedan. Since Volvo has capped its new range of engines to 2-litres of displacement, the V90 will get the same, with the most powerful version developing over 400bhp with the help of a petrol engine and an electric motor.
The new V90 will be one of Volvo’s major highlights at the Geneva Motor Show and will go on sale during the second half of 2016.
