After more than a decade of its presence in the Indian subcontinent, Volvo has steered itself onto a growth path, driven by its all-new product line up. With the new fleet of SUVs like the XC90, the XC60, the XC40 and cars like the S90 and the V90, the Volvo has managed to sell 2,638 units in the calendar year 2018.
Compared to the sales of CY2017, the 2018 sales have risen by almost 30 per cent, driven by the SUV portfolio. The highest grosser for Volvo has been the XC40 compact luxury SUV, followed by the flagship XC90 and the XC60. The all-new Volvo S60 is expected to join the S90 in 2019 globally, as well as in India.Â
Bullish on its India prospects, Volvo is also expected to introduce more electrified cars in the Indian market while expanding its local footprint, both in terms of sales and service.
