-Mid-level variant for the S90
- Price reduction achieved via deleting of features
-Costs Rs 7 lakhs lesser than the Inscription variant
Volvo is now offering a mid-level variant for the S90. Dubbed the S90 Momentum, it is priced at Rs 51.90 lakhs (All-India ex-showroom) and costs Rs 7 lakhs lesser than the top-of-the-line Inscription variant.
Externally, this version of the car gets the standard black and chrome Volvo grille, dual integrated tail pipes and five-spoke 18-inch wheels as opposed to the Inscription variant’s 10-spoke 19-inch wheels. Inside, this variant loses out on leather clad key, illuminated rear door lock switches, laminated windows, leather lining dashboard, heated and massaging seats, Bowers and Wilkins sound system, subwoofer and power tail gate.
None of the standard safety features have been removed. But now, this version does not get park pilot, 360 degree camera, blind spot monitor, collision mitigation support and the head up display. Â
The only engine available is D4 diesel. This means the 2.0-litre diesel produces 190bhp/400Nm. The eight-speed AT is standard while the top speed comes down from 223kmph to 210kmph. The S90 is a rival for the likes of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Audi A6, BMW 5 Series and the Jaguar XF.Â
