Volvo Auto India has opened new showrooms in Bengaluru and Ahmedabad. While the former is located on the Race Course Road and is spread over an area of 7000 sqft, the latter is located on the S.G. Highway and is spread over an area of 3500 sqft. The Bengaluru showroom will be run by Martial Motors while the Ahmedabad showroom will be run by Autobots. Both showrooms will display all models sold by the Swedish automaker.
Commenting on the performance of Volvo during the opening of both showrooms, Tomas Ernberg, Managing Director, Volvo Auto India said, “The year 2013 has been very promising for us. In January, we began the year with record sales of year-on-year (YoY) growth of 188 per cent and recently closed the first quarter ending March with sale of 276 cars."
"This is yet another indication of Volvo Cars increasing strength in the Indian auto market as well as the continuing acceptability of our products amongst the patrons. March was a successful month for us, despite a challenging market and circumstances," he added.
