Volvo has launched a new variant of the XC90 SUV, and has christened it the ‘R-Design’. For the R-Design, the XC90’s chassis has been tuned for a sporty drive, the steering now has variable assist, the wheels have grown to 19†in diameter, and the quad tailpipes hint at what lies beneath the hood.
The R-Design may be a sporty version, but it doesn’t lose the practicality of seven seats, which are covered in a combination of two grades of leather and décor piping that is matched in the mat design. A new instrument cluster with blue backlighting complements the rest of the interior. The R-Design is available in five colour options, of which ‘Passion Red’ is exclusive to the variant.
