Volvo India will unveil their next generation S60 sedan and the XC60 SUV at a press conference in New Delhi tomorrow. Both the cars were showcased at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show and get cosmetic updates.
The major changes on both the vehicles are that they now get a more rounded appearance, wider front, revised grilles and slimmer lights which now have daytime running LEDs. The S60 gets cornering adaptive lights while the XC60 now gets torque vectoring technology as standard. The S60 and the XC60 electronics have been improved with a touchscreen infotainment system and steering-mounted paddle shifters (AT only) that was first introduced on the V40 Cross Country earlier this year. Mechanically, both the cars will be the same as before.
Expect the new cars to be expensive by Rs 1.5 lakh – Rs 2.2 lakh over the current models and will be sold in India through completely-built-up (CBU) route.
