Volvo India opens its first exclusive dealership in Kolkata

Volvo India recently inaugurated a new dealership in Kolkata, West Bengal. This facility, called, the new OSL Scandinavian showroom, is the manufacturer's first exclusive dealership in Kolkata.

The new dealership is located on East Topsia Road, Kolkata and its service centre is at 58, East Topsia Road, Arupota (behind PC Chandra Gardens). The workshop is equipped with the latest Volvo diagnostic tools and special equipment for after-sales service of the Volvo Cars.

Tom von Bonsdorff, Managing Director, Volvo Auto India, said, "The year so far has been very promising for us. With a positive YOY growth, Volvo Cars is one of the fastest growing luxury car makers in India. Given the expanding luxury market in India we have launched new models (XC90, V40, S60 & V40CC petrol) and enhanced our service network. In line with its growth strategy, Volvo Cars will continue with its expansion plan in India by adding to its existing network of dealerships across the country. The dealership network will be increased from 14 to 20 by end of this year. We are happy to bring the new Volvo Retail Experience with our new dealer in Kolkata. This would not only mark our entry into West Bengal but also help us foray and penetrate further in to the eastern part.”

The new facility will reflect the Swedish carmaker's Scandinavian design and will give prospective buyers a luxury retail experience. Existing Volvo car owners can get their vehicles serviced from this centre through Volvo's personalised technicians who are trained specially for Volvo's premium cars. With the inauguration of this new dealership, Volvo has laid the bricks for strengthening their foothold in our country.
