Volvo India opens its biggest workshop in Bengaluru

- New service station to cater to many neighbouring regions

- Dealer network of 21 showrooms now

- Plan to double segment share by 2020

Volvo India recently inaugurated a new workshop in Bengaluru. It is the biggest workshop opened by the Swedish carmaker till date.

This Volvo Cars Service Centre is run under the partnership of Martial Motors Pvt Ltd. It is located in Sarjapur, and has a total land area of 90,000 sq. ft. with 15,000 square feet of constructed space. This accounts for a workshop area of 11,000 sq. ft. and an office area of 2,000 sq. ft. There's also a dedicated area of 2,000 sq. ft. for body repair and other utilities.

The new facility should prove beneficial for the manufacturer in terms of all service support. Sarjapur is a fast-developing urban district with good connectivity to key IT cluster geographies. These include Electronic City, Whitefield, Koramangala, Outer Ring Road and Marathahalli.
