Volvo India has just spruced up its S60 range with the launch of the T6 petrol version. Priced at Rs 42 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) it is the most powerful petrol-engine Volvo to be offered in the Indian market.
The biggest changes are to be found under the hood with new S60 T6. It gets a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 306bhp of power and 400 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox that sends power to the front wheels. In comparison, the old S60 T6 had a 3-litre straight-six engine with AWD system.
Design wise, the T6 model looks pretty much the same as the rest of the S60 range. Which means the sleek-looking front-end and the stylish rear-end continue to feature on this car. Inside, too, the design and the layout of the interior remains the same as the diesel variants. The highlighting feature inside is Volvo’s Adaptive Digital Display which uses an active TFT display with three themes to choose from: Elegance, Eco and Performance.
Priced at Rs 42 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the new S60 T6 mainly competes with the BMW 328i in the performance luxury sedan segment.
