The next-generation Volvo XC90 was launched for the Indian market on May 12 at Rs 64.9 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai). Deliveries will begin this month and the company has already got 266 pre-orders for its flagship SUV.
A press release from the company says that a whopping 76 per cent of its customers globally have gone in for the top-spec Inscription model. This version includes a host of luxuries including Volvo’s new touchscreen system which pretty much removed the need for buttons from the dashboard of the car.
Commenting on the launch of the all-new XC90, Tom von Bonsdorff, Managing Director, Volvo Auto India said," We already have a positive momentum, before we start deliveries of the new XC90, so we are on track for another good year at Volvo Cars. The XC90 paves the way for a portfolio of exciting new cars to come in the following years.”
