Volkswagen India has introduced special Onam Edition of its MQB models, the Taigun and the Virtus. The mid-size sedan is available in this new version at a starting ex-showroom price of Rs. 13.57 lakh. This new special edition is based on the GT Line and can be had with manual and automatic configuration. The latter is priced at Rs. 14.82 lakh (ex-showroom).
As for the changes, the new Onam Edition brings cosmetic upgrades over the standard GT Line. In this guise, the Virtus benefits from front parking sensors, puddle lamps, dual horns, and a TSI badge on the fenders.
Meanwhile, the Virtus Onam Edition can only be had with the 1.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. This motor is tuned to produce 114bhp and 178Nm of peak torque.
