- Highline Plus and GT variants launched in October
- 50,000 units sold since launch
The Volkswagen Virtus is the highest selling sedan this festival season month. The German automaker was able to move 2351 units of the sedan. It has beaten its sibling the Slavia by a significant margin in term of numbers and has also seen month-on-month growth.
Some of the momentum has come on the back two new trims- the Highline Plus and GT being offered across both engine options. In addition, the automaker has been running significant discounts across the range which has helped moves the sales needle.
Third in line is the Honda City while right at the back is the Maruti Ciaz which is now the oldest car on the fray but saw a growth when looking at both the corresponding period in the previous year as well as the previous month.
Lastly, Volkswagen has managed to breach the 50,000 units sold mark just over two years after it was launched in the Indian market. It was the final of the original four MQB A0-IN India 2.0 products to be brought into the market and was launched in India in June 2022.
