Fresh images have surfaced featuring the Vento with new gloss black alloys and full LED headlamps with DRLs. It is likely that the German automaker will offer these fresh additions in the top-spec Vento variant and introduce it during the festive season. Volkswagen had introduced the facelift Vento in the country last year and hence the new variant does not get any other design upgrades.
As the fresh upgrades is expected to be offered on the top-spec variant, the sedan will continue to be powered by existing engine options such as a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine paired to a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission, or a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine paired to a 5-speed manual transmission. Likely to be offered as top-spec model, the vehicle will continue to get cruise control, ‘Vento’ floor mats, ‘Vento’ Scuff Plates, detachable window blinds, electrically foldable mirrors and a Blaupunkt touch-screen multimedia system with navigation. The variant also gets a carbon fibre finished centre console.
Expected to be introduced during the festive season, it is unlikely that the German carmaker will charge additional for the freshly upgraded variant Currently, the feature loaded variant is priced at Rs 9.7 lakh for petrol and Rs 10.98 lakh for diesel. Additional details about the upcoming trim will be known soon.
