Volkswagen has unveiled a special edition of the Vento called the Preferred. It features a host of cosmetic changes on the outside and now comes fitted with a reversing camera as the new option on the inside. It is available with both petrol and diesel engines.
The exterior additions on the Vento Preferred includes chrome strips and visors for the window and doors, boot mounted spoiler, side door protectors and alloy wheels. Inside Volkswagen has fitted the Vento Preferred with a reversing camera with navigation system and door sill chrome garnish.
Mechanically, the Vento Preferred remains the same as the standard car which means that it gets the 1.6-litre petrol and diesel which produce 103/153Nm and 104/250Nm respectively. Both engines are mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. There is also a 1.2-litre turbocharged TSI petrol engine that produces 105bhp/175Nm which is mated to a seven-speed DSG. Also included in this package is free insurance for one year and road side assistance for four years.
We believe that these accessories are fitted the dealer level and is expected to cost around Rs 7,000 over the price of the normal car.
