Volkswagen has launched a special edition of the Vento sedan. Dubbed the Preferred Edition, it is based on the Comfort Line variant and is priced Rs 50,000 more than the latter. The package comprises cosmetic updates and is available for both petrol and diesel models.
The cosmetic additions include alloy wheels, roof foil, side moulding, leather seat covers and a navigation system with a display rear view camera. In addition to these extra features, the Comfort Line variants get, as standard, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, height adjustable headrests and all four power windows.
The car is offered with three engines and three transmissions options. The petrol units are a 1.6-litre and 1.2-litre units. The former is offered with a five-speed manual unit while the latter is only offered with a seven-speed DSG. The diesel is a 1.5-litre which can be had with a five-speed manual or a seven-speed DSG.
