Volkswagen will soon launch a special edition of the Vento sedan called the Corporate Edition. A report from Team-bhp suggest that it is basically an accessories package which provides cosmetic changes both inside and outside and across and can be had on any variant and engine option expected the recently launched Vento TSI.
External accessories include alloy wheels, boot lid spoiler, mud flaps, chrome door protectors and chrome moulding for the windows. Inside, the Vento Corporate Edition gets a navigation system with reversing camera, special seat covers and garnish on the door sills.
The engine options include the 1.6-litre petrol that produces 105bhp and 153Nm of torque as well as the 1.6-litre turbo diesel engine that produces 105bhp and 250Nm of torque. Both engines are available with a five-speed manual as standard with the petrol also getting a six-speed automatic.
The report suggests that the accessories package costs Rs 40, 000 and we believe that they will be offered at the dealer level. We will tell you as soon as VW officially gives us word on the Corporate Edition. It is likely that VW is launching the Coroporate Edition to boost volumes by cashing in on the upcoming festival season.
