Volkswagen has just announced a series of updates for one of its popular crossover models – the Tiguan. On sale since 2008, the Tiguan now features more equipment as standard along with a more efficient range of engines.
In terms of the new engine range, the 2-litre diesel engines will have more power and at the same time, CO2 emissions have been cut down. Furthermore, all engines comply with the EU6 emissions standard.
Volkswagen has also updated the in-car entertainment systems. Based on the latest generation of the modular infotainment matrix, the entertainment systems available in the Tiguan have been significantly upgraded. The previous systems have been replaced by a colour touchscreen, eight speakers and a variety of connections for external devices.
Besides this, Volkswagen is currently working on a new five-seater crossover labelled Taigun. When launched, this new model will rival other compact crossovers like the Ford EcoSport, Nissan Juke, Citroen Cactus and the Renault Captur.
