German automaker Volkswagen has launched the Polo Beats special edition in the UK at £13,910 OTR RRP (Approx. Rs 13.38 lakh). Volkswagen has collaborated with Beats Electronics to launch the special edition cars that come with fresh styling cues and impressive sound system.
In terms of design, the Polo Beat offers standard 16-inch ‘Knight’ alloy wheels, 65 per cent tinted rear windows and darkened rear light clusters. For a sporty appeal the radiator grille is finished in ‘High Gloss Black’ and the car is enhanced with ‘Flash Red’, ‘Pure White’ or ‘Black’ door mirrors with integrated indicators. The ‘Beats’ badge and decals completes the exterior styling. Moving to the interiors, the dashboard sports a 6.5-inch display, while the seats in the special edition gets Alcantara side bolsters and a special ‘Beats’ cloth centre section. For a trendy appeal, the floor gets LED foot well lighting.
The Volkswagen Polo Beats special edition is available in three- or five-door configuration with a choice of two petrol engines – 1.0-litre engine in manual and 1.2-litre engine in manual and Auto DSG, while the diesel gets a 1.4-litre diesel engine in manual transmission. The Volkswagen Polo Beats comes loaded with safety features like ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), ESC (Electronic Stability Control) and Automatic Post-Collision Braking. The cars are also equipped with driver and front passenger airbags, and a side-head airbag system.
The state-of-the-art sound system in the Polo Beat features a 300-watt, eight-channel amplifier that is fitted with a digital signal processor (DSP). The DSP system delivers high-performance audio processing that gives clarity and definition to each of the seven high-end loudspeakers.
