In order to highlight its commitment towards manufacturing in India, Volkswagen will showcase Made in India products at the 2015 Hannover Messe 2015. This industry trade fair is one of the biggest in the world and India is a part of it as an official partner country.
Volkswagen has been producing cars at their Chakan plant and has been exporting them to over 32 countries across the three continents of Asia, Africa and North America. The German manufacturer will showcase the Vento sedan at this trade fair, as it is a popular car in the domestic as well as export markets.
Other than the Vento, Volkswagen will also showcase the 1.5-litre TDI, which the company recently started assembling at their engine assembly plant in Chakan. In addition to the products, Volkswagen India would also present its educational programme – the Mechatronics Apprenticeship Programme, during the inauguration of the fair.
Our Prime Minister’s Make in India campaign not only makes sense for the country’s economy, but it is also a chance to showcase our creation to the world. The Hannover Messe 2015 is one such platform, which will see companies from across the world come together to share their products and technologies.
