Volkswagen has announced that the Polo based T-Cross compact SUV will be unveiled and subsequently launched at the end of this year. It’s one of the 19 SUVs that VW plans to add its line-up by 2020 and will be positioned below the T-Roc in their official line up.
Our spy photographers have already spotted the car doings rounds in the snows of Europe and from the photos we have managed to discern quite a bit about the car.
The T-Cross was shown as a cabriolet SUV at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show and was dubbed the T-Cross Breeze. Now Volkswagen has said that there will be a production version of this model and will be launched in 2020 and will be a part of the T-Cross family.
The T-Cross will come to India and be locally built as a rival to the likes of the Hyundai Creta and Renault Duster in the D-segment. Its arrival will happen when VW completes its localisation programme for the MQB A0 platform that will spawn a variety of vehicles based on the next-generation Polo.
