Volkswagen has launched a new variant for its Polo hatchback and has dubbed it the GT Sport. They are priced Rs 20,000 more than the standard GT TSI and GT TDI respectively. The additions to this car are all cosmetic and it is available across two colour options- red and white.
The exterior is where VW has done most of its work on the GT Sport. It now gets 16-inch alloy wheels as compared to the standard models 15-inch wheels. It also gets a blacked out roof, GT Sport decals on the side and a black coloured rear spoiler. The cabin has been trimmed out in leatherette seat covers and gets embossed GT Sport badging.
The GT TSI is powered by a turbocharged 1.2-litre TSI mill producing 103bhp/175Nm while the GT TDI is a 1.5-litre unit producing 108bhp/250Nm. The former is only available with a seven-speed DSG while the oil burner gets a five-speed manual.
