- Vento and Polo facelift will receive visual updates
- Engine options for both the models likely to remain unchanged
Volkswagen will launch the updated Polo and Vento siblings in India on 4 September. Both the models will receive changes in the form of visual updates to the exterior and new feature additions on the inside.
The Volkswagen Polo facelift will receive a new front bumper and grille inspired from the GTI, with the former housing a trapezoidal air dam and fog lamps. A few other updates on the model include a blacked-out spoiler, dual-tone rear bumper and redesigned tail-lights.
Updates to the Volkswagen Vento facelift include a chrome strip on the boot lid as well as on all four doors. Feature additions common to both the models include new 10 spoke alloy wheels and blacked-out elements such as the ORVMs and the B-pillars. Details regarding updates to the interiors remain unknown at the moment.
Engine options are likely to remain unchanged, hence we can expect the Volkswagen Polo facelift to source power from the same set of engines including a 1.0-litre petrol motor, 1.2-litre petrol motor and a 1.5-litre diesel motor. The Volkswagen Vento facelift too will continue to be powered by the same set of engines that include a 1.6-litre petrol unit, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol unit and a 1.5-litre diesel unit.
