Volkswagen's two car launches last year, the Polo and the Vento, have been responsible for the sales figures the company achieved last month. 5,601 vehicles sold in the month of January alone. Out of these over 5000 units sold in the last month alone.
Commenting on the upward sales growth, Mr. Neeraj Garg, Member of Board, Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Volkswagen Group Sales India Pvt. Ltd. said "We are pleased to see the success story continue in the New Year too. We look forward to further strengthening the position of both our volume models in the coming months and ensure a good growth rate of our premium models in the market."
The company is infact looking at expansion plans in India with the introduction of new cars and more importantly new dealerships to strengthen its network. With the Passat CC already in the pipeline this year too looks promising for the company in India.
