The Volkswagen Passat AllTrack has now gone on sale. The AllTrack differs from the Passat Estate as it not only appears different but is also equipped with the Offroad driving programme. Until now, this feature was exclusively reserved for VW SUVs like the Tiguan and Touareg.
The Passat Alltrack even scores in offroad driving performance thanks to increased ramp and approach angles and increase of ground clearance by 30 mm. The engine is protected by a solid underbody guard made of steel plate.
The engine line-up for this vehicle includes two turbocharged TSI engines with 160bhp and 210bhp and two TDI engines that produce 140bhp and 170bhp of power. Both TDIs are BlueMotion Technology versions with a Stop/Start system and battery regeneration. The most powerful engine versions are equipped with permanent 4MOTION all-wheel drive and DSG as standard; Volkswagen offers all-wheel drive as an option for the Passat Alltrack with the 140bhp TDI.
