Volkswagen America’s CEO Michael Horn has revealed details about the seven-seater crossover.
Horn, speaking to a publication at the New York Auto Show said, “The model will be a true Volkswagen that will set an awesome benchmark in its segment. We’re looking mainly at the U.S. market.”
The company top brass also went on to say the model will have an 'emotional' design and will feature class-leading innovations as well as high quality construction.
As of now there aren’t many details about the vehicle and VW might be looking at only the US markets, but we can expect the vehicle to be sold across the globe. The Indian market specifically has a penchant for SUVs and the ageing Touareg hasn’t met with much success. The new seven-seater crossover might just be the right vehicle for India. It is still early stages now and the vehicle is rumoured to go on sale in the US by 2016.
