Volkswagen may create a Crossover Style Utility vehicle (CUV) based on it’s the Bulli concept displayed at the2011 Geneva Motor Show. Like the earlier concept, the new vehicle might have styling based on the iconic Microbus of the sixties and seventies.
Released last year at the Geneva motor show, the Bulli concept was 3.9 meters long, 1.7 meters in width, powered by a 85Kw electric motor producing the equivalent of 113bhp and 260Nm of torque. The range for the electric vehicle is expected to be around 300 km.
On the outside we can expect a two-tone paint job, 18 inch alloy hubcaps and a giant VW logo upfront, a remainder of the vehicle’s rich and colorful heritage. The interiors will most likely be a 3+3 seating arrangement.
To be loaded with the latest technology from the German auto giant, the CUV will come with an Ipad which is expected to function as the touch screen. If given the green signal this CUV joins a range of new vehicles planned by VW, as the company hopes to become the largest car manufacturer by 2018.
