Volkswagen India has rolled out upgraded versions of the Polo GT TSI and GT TDI. In fact, the German carmaker has discreetly added these features that were introduced in the facelifted Vento. The latter was launched earlier this year in the Indian market.
The Polo range is now being offered with cruise control (a segment first), cooled glove box and electrically foldable wing mirrors depending on the spec. While the wing mirrors now feature turn indicators on all models, the cooled glove box option is available on Comfort Line and High Line. Lastly, high-end features like electrically foldable mirrors and cruise control can be had in High Line only. Ex-showroom prices for the updated Polo range between Rs 5.23 lakh and Rs 8.41 lakh.
With the updated feature list, the Polo GT TSI and GT TDI make for an even better premium hatchback and come close to matching the competition. However, Volkswagen is still going to face tough competition from rivals like the Honda Jazz, Hyundai i20 and even the upcoming Fiat Punto Abarth.
