Volkswagen India has inaugurated a new workshop in Mumbai to strengthen its after-sales service in the city. With this new facility, the total workshop count in the city has gone up to seven.
Part of Volkswagen Mumbai East, this new workshop is run by Autobahn Automotive Pvt. Ltd and has 29 bays. It is situated at Kale Marg, Kurla West and is fully equipped to handle regular servicing and repairs, as well as paintwork and bodywork repair. The workshop employs a well-trained team of 58 members that includes expert technicians and support staff.
“We are happy to take another step forward towards ensuring that our customers’ requirements, regarding the servicing and repair of their cars, are fully catered to. We, at Volkswagen, always strive to provide a world-class car ownership experience to our customers, and that extends to making sure that after-sales requirements are looked after. We hope our customers will benefit from the expansion of our workshop network across Mumbai," said Michael Mayer, director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India.
Volkswagen has been slowly and steadily increasing its presence in the country. It recently started assembling the 1.5-litre diesel engine at their Chakan facility to support the prime Minister's Make in India initiative.
