Volkswagen India inaugurated a new dealership in Mumbai yesterday. Volkswagen Mumbai West is one amongst the six facilities of the company in Mumbai.
The new dealership is located at New Link Road, Andheri West and comprises a showroom that has a large area for the display of cars. The workshop is situated at Parsi Panchayat Road in Andheri East and has 24 bays. This service centre will provide customers with spares and they can get their cars for general repair, maintenance, bodywork paint etc.
Michael Mayer, Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India, said, "Mumbai is one of our fastest growing markets and there is strong demand for Volkswagen cars in this city. Volkswagen Mumbai West is our sixth dealership in Mumbai and we believe this launch is significant, since it'll help us reach out to an even wider audience. Volkswagen Mumbai West is part of the Landmark Group, which is one of India’s largest automotive dealership chains with automotive sales and after-sales facilities across Mumbai, Delhi, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal. With this new dealership, Volkswagen India’s dealership network now includes 118 showrooms across 100 cities. This expansion in the network of dealers is necessary for the company, knowing the host of upcoming car launches from the manufacturer fo this year. With the extension of their services, the company aims to garner a bigger market share in India.
