Volkswagen inaugurates a new workshop in Mumbai

Volkswagen India has opened a new workshop in Mumbai. This workshop is located at Cotton Green and will supplement the existing workshop at Sewri, Mumbai under the same name - Volkswagen Downtown Mumbai (Shaman).

Michael Mayer, Director Volkswagen Passenger Cars India was present at the inauguration of the new facility. This news comes hot on the heels of the inauguration of their new dealership in Mumbai at the end of last month. This shows that Volkswagen India has considered opening new dealerships and increase in the service centres as a vital part of their expansion network.

Volkswagen India’s sales in May 2015 went up by 57 per cent as compared to May 2014 results. So with the increase in sales and the host of upcoming car launches from the carmaker this year, it is vital for the company to reach out to an even wider audience. The manufacturer will launch the new Vento for the Indian market in the coming week on June 23.
