- Witnessed 10.2 per cent growth with 9,27,200 units sold globally in April
- Positive growth from all major markets
With a 10.2 per cent growth and sales of 9,27,200 units in the global market in April as compared to the same period last year, the Volkswagen group continues to be on the growth path in the second quarter as well. In the last quarter too, they had witnessed a positive growth in sales across all major markets which includes – Europe, Western Europe, North America, South America and the Asia-Pacific.
Speaking on the occasion, Fred Kappler, Head of Group Sales at Volkswagen said, “The Volkswagen Group’s upward trend continues into the second quarter. Positive developments in Europe and the home market of Germany as well as in South America are particularly encouraging. We will continue to work on the attractiveness of our brands and products in the second quarter.”
From the total 9,27,200 units sold in April, the Volkswagen group delivered 4,02,600 units in Europe, 3,33,900 units in Western Europe and 68,700 units in Central and Eastern Europe.
