Volkswagen has unveiled the 2015 Caddy with refreshed styling and spiced up interior. The new model will be launched in June, in Germany, and pricing will start from 14,785 Euro (Rs 10.3 lakh) onwards.
The 2015 Caddy has a new frontal styling with a large grille and headlights. The rear gets new bumper, tail lights and a restyled tailgate. Inside the cabin the changes are more significant with a new dashboard, a flat-bottom steering wheel, metallic accents, colour coordinated trim on top-end variants, revised switchgear and new door panels.
It will be powered by an array of engines starting with a three petrol engines – 1.0-litre, 1.2-litre and 1.4-litre TSI. Although there aren’t details on the diesel mills, it might get a 1.5-litre and 2.0-litre TDI oil burner.
Volkswagen is still a small player in the Indian market, but they will expand in the future and need an ideal mix of products to rake up numbers. While, VW has a varied range of six vans for sale, this might be a good bet. It provides seating for seven and looks elegant, also it can be priced close to India’s favourite van - the Innova. So, what do you feel? Will the VW Caddy be a success in India?
