The Volkswagen brand sold 6091 vehicles in the month of August 2011, a growth of 72 percent over 3531 vehicles sold in August 2010.
Despite the sluggish market, the Polo and the Vento continue to bring in the numbers for the brand with a total of 5634 units sold in August 2011.
Mr. Neeraj Garg, Member of Board & Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Volkswagen Group Sales India Pvt. Ltd. said “Despite the current market conditions, we are pleased to be able to maintain our overall sales”.
