Volkswagen India has appointed Arvind Saxena as the managing director for their passenger cars division. A 30 year veteran of the Indian automotive industry, he has worked at various positions in companies Bajaj Auto, Maruti Suzuki, Fiat India and at Hyundai where he was director of sales and marketing.
Based out of Mumbai, he will be in charge of sales, after sales and marketing. Speaking on the occasion, Arvind said that he was very happy to be part of Volkswagen and was looking forward to facing newer and more exciting challenges with the company.
Commenting on the appointment, Gerry Dorizas, president and MD of Volkswagen group sales, said that Saxena’s extensive experience in the Indian auto industry would help Volkswagen achieve a good growth rate. He replaces Neeraj Garg who was a member of the board and director of passenger cars.
