Volkswagen India has launched the new Ameo app ahead of the compact sedan’s debut in India. The app offers a 360-degree visualizer that takes through a visual walk-around the Ameo. Potential customers who are interested in the vehicle can locate the nearest Volkswagen dealership and pre-book it.
The Volkswagen Ameo app is compatible with any Android device and can be installed via the Google Play Store. For now, the iOS version is unavailable, however it might be introduced soon. The app features a gallery that displays the exterior, interior, safety images, functions and videos. It also gives out variant specifications and the different colour options that are available. To further ease the buying process, the vehicle comes with click-to-call, email and locate supported by google map functions.
Under the hood, the Volkswagen Ameo will be offered in petrol and diesel engine options. The 1.2-litre, three cylinder petrol engine will put out 74bhp of power and 110Nm of torque, while a 1.5-litre diesel engine puts out 89bhp of power and 230Nm of torque. The engines will come mated to a five speed manual transmission, while a seven-speed DSG option might be offered in diesel guise. Loaded with fresh upgrades, the vehicle is indeed expected to emerge as a strong competitor in the compact sedan space.
