Volkswagen launched the Ameo Corporate Edition in India, priced at Rs 6.69 lakhs and Rs 7.99 lakhs (both prices are ex-showroom Delhi) for the petrol and diesel models, respectively. The Corporate Edition has been specially introduced for corporate employees and entrepreneurs.
The Volkswagen Ameo Corporate Edition is based on the Highline Plus trim but is Rs 1.16 lakh less for the equivalent petrol model, and Rs 1.11 lakh lower than the similar diesel variant. The Ameo Corporate Edition sits between the Comfortline, and Highline Plus trims and comes with features such as rain sensing wipers, cruise control, climate control, static cornering lights, and 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment with Apple CarPlay, MirrorLink and Android Auto.
The Ameo Corporate Edition is only available in the petrol and diesel manual engine-gearbox configurations. The 1.0-litre three-cylinder MPI engine makes 76 bhp and 95 Nm while the 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel mill puts out 110 bhp and 250 Nm. A five-speed manual transmission is standard on both powertrains. Earlier this month, Volkswagen also introduced the Black and White Editions of the Polo, Ameo and Vento.
