We had already written about the Polo Allstar variant coming in and now VW has silently added it to its line-up. The Polo Allstar petrol is priced at Rs. 7.51 lakh, while the diesel is priced at Rs. 9.07 lakh ex-showroom Mumbai. Being a special edition, the Allstar variant gets a few more goodies and is about Rs. 30,000 dearer over the standard top spec Polo.
On the outside, the Allstar gets new 15-inch ‘Linas’ alloy wheels in black with a polished finish. You also get Allstar badging on the B-pillar along with a new shade, Blue Silk.
On the insides, you now have scuff plates with the Allstar badge to welcome you. The upholstery gets refreshed as well. The Polo Allstar comes appointed with black and grey comfort seats with ‘Pentastripe Anthrazit’ seat covers while the multifunction steering wheel, the gear lever knob and handbrake lever now get leather treatment. You also get a front centre armrest, aluminium pedals and rear AC vents.
Powering the Allstar is the same 1.2 litre, three cylinder petrol with 75 bhp of power and 110 Nm of torque and the impressive 1.5 diesel with 90 bhp and 230 Nm of torque. With a marginal price hike over the standard Polo, the Allstar does seem to offer better features and not to mention value as well.
