Vinfast, the Vietnamese EV manufacturer, will make its official Indian debut at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo. It had in February announced the construction of new facility outside Chennai and even had the groundbreaking ceremony and will now display its wares at the upcoming motor show.
The automaker is expected to display a complete range of vehicles starting from the VF e34 to their flagship Vf7 SUV. It is also expected to announce its showroom and sales plans with operations expected to begin towards the latter half of calendar year 2025. Like BYD, its complete lineup is electric and will be the second all-electric manufacturer to set up shop in India.
The EV segment above the Rs. 17 lakh price bracket is expected to take off within the next two years and Vinfast will be one of those looking to cash in on the boom. The VF e34 is likely to be their debut model and will take on cars like the Maruti e Vitara, Hyundai Creta EV, MG ZS EV, Mahindra BE6, Toyota Urban Cruiser EV, Honda Elevate based EV and Skoda Kushaq EV.
