- Volkswagen Connect is standard in the Highline Plus and GT variants of the new Polo and Vento
The German car manufacturer, Volkswagen introduced the updated versions of the Polo and the Vento in India on 4 September. Both the cars have reportedly contributed to four per cent growth in September with 2,550 car sales as compared to the same period last year. The Highline Plus and GT variants of the new Polo and Vento now get the Volkswagen Connect feature as standard. Volkswagen India claims that the new-age digital, city and pop-stores have increased the visibility for the brand and has extended its reach to the newer audiences across the country.

Marking the addition of over 2,000 new customers in less than a month of the launch showcases the trust, support, and appreciation that Volkswagen continues to receive through its consumers in the country. In an effort to prepare for the Volkswagen Group’s India 2.0 project, Volkswagen brand has planned to increase its current 132 sales touchpoints to 150 by end of the year 2019 and is reportedly undergoing a mega training and development program for sales and after-sales teams across the network in India. Following the reduction in corporate tax by the government, Volkswagen has recently introduced the corporate edition on the Polo, Ameo, Vento and the Tiguan.
