An updated version of the Nissan Evalia has been spied testing in Pune. The test vehicle features a rear wiper, a feature currently unavailable on the Evalia. Nissan had announced during the launch of the Evalia that they will be launching an updated version of the car later.
The car featured an ‘On Test ARAI’ sticker which clearly indicates that the company has approved this updated version and is waiting for an approval from the government organisation. We are expecting the company to include more features like covered storage spaces, individual armrests for the seats and blowers for the second row.
There also have been reports suggesting that Nissan has halted the production of the Evalia because the sales numbers haven’t picked up as they expected. The production halt might be temporary during which the company will revamp the car with inputs from their customers and dealers. Nissan may also take the decision to dump the butterfly type windows for sliding type units.
