What you see in the pictures is the facelifted Mercedes-AMG S63 Cabriolet undergoing testing.
While it’s apparent from the minimal camouflage that this mid-cycle refresh for the S63 AMG Cabriolet will not see much visual differences compared to the current model, there are some noticeable updates. The front fascia highlights a redesigned grille and bumper plus new internals for the head lamps. Move on to the rear portion and a restyled bumper is visible along with tail lights that get revised graphics.
Mercedes AMG’s flagship drop-top will also be on the receiving end of a number of autonomous systems that have debuted in new E-Class, albeit with a number of additional functions. Powering the facelifted S63 AMG Cabriolet will either be a retuned version of the 5.5-litre bi-turbo V8 or the 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 from the E63 S AMG.
As the facelifted S-Class is expected to debut next month, the S63 AMG Cabriolet may probably follow suit in the months that follow, so stay tuned.
