- Will be the first major update for the hatchback since its launch in 2013
- Revised design for the facia and rear-endÂ
- Top spec models to get new touchscreen system and alloy wheelsÂ
- Expected to be launched next monthÂ
An updated version of the Datsun Go hatchback has been spotted on test in Tamil Nadu. Due for an India launch next month, the car sports some minor updates of which the same will also make their way into the Go+ mini estate.Â
On the outside, the updated car gets new bumpers and alloy wheels for the top spec models. The updates for the cabin include a slightly modified centre console as well as a touchscreen system for the higher spec models.
The car will continue to make use of the same 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol motor from the current car. With the five-speed manual, it produces 68bhp/104Nm, but with the CVT, the horse power has been bumped up to 78bhp although the torque remains unchanged. We are unlikely to get a CVT option and are more likely to get the AMT from the Redigo.Â
The Go hatchback competes with the Tata Tiago, Maruti Suzuki Wagon R as well as the Maruti Suzuki Celerio. Â
