Chevrolet India has launched the facelifted versions of the Sail hatchback and sedan for a starting price of Rs 4.41 lakh and Rs 5.19 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) respectively. The updated versions have minor changes both to the exteriors and interiors to improve the looks and ergonomics.
The most noticeable change has been made to the interior – the all-beige dashboard has been replaced by a dual tone black and beige unit that gets chrome and silver inserts around the music system. The door trims also get similar black-beige combination and the AC-vent bezel and door handles for the top-end variants have chrome finish. The 1-DIN music system has now been replaced by a new 2-DIN unit with Bluetooth connectivity for phone and music streaming.
The changes to the exteriors include chrome garnish for the fog lamp and headlamp surrounds and a similar chrome stripe on the boot of the sedan. Although, the press release does not confirm the update, but we are told that the ‘U-VA’ badging on the hatchback has been removed.
The oily-bits for have not been touched and both the sedan and hatchback continue to derive power from the same petrol and diesel engines. The oil burner is a 1.3-litre SDE SMARTTECH turbocharged four-cylinder unit developing 75bhp and 190Nm of torque, while the petrol is 1.2-litre mill with an output of 83bhp and 108Nm of torque.
