BMW India has launched the updated version of the M6 Gran Coupe for Rs 1.71 crore (ex-showroom Delhi). Based on the facelifted 6 Series Gran Coupe sedan, the four-door performance car gets few tweaks both to the exterior and the interior.
The facelifted M6 Gran Coupe gets a double-bar M kidney grille with badging, larger air intake on the front bumper, carbon fibre roof, 20-inch alloy-wheels, quad exhaust pipes and a rear bumper with integrated diffuser. The other changes include new LED headlamps and small alterations to the tail lamp console.
While the layout of the interior is similar to the standard car, this one gets M sports seats at the front and M badging on the instrument cluster and centre console. The M6 Gran Coupe is powered by a 4.4-litre turbocharged petrol V8 tuned to send 552bhp and 680Nm of torque to the rear wheels. Despite being a larger sedan, the M6 is capable of getting to 100kmph from naught in 4.2 seconds. The engine is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission with launch control function.
The new BMW M6 Gran Coupe is available in the nine metallic colours – Alpine White, Black Sapphire, Silverstone, Space Grey, Jatoba, San Marino Blue, Sakhir Orange, Singapore Grey and Imperial Blue Brilliant Effect. BMW will import the car to India as a CBU and it will be available through all the company’s dealerships here.
Speaking about the launch, Mr. Philipp von Sahr, President, BMW Group India said, “Impressive power, outstanding technology and the true sensation of motor sports can be expressed in one single letter: M.
