BMW India has launched the updated M340i sedan at an asking price of Rs. 74.9 lakh (ex-showroom). With this new update, the premium sedan gets a revised interior, new exterior colour options, and adaptive air suspension as standard. Notably, the new M340i commands a premium of Rs. 2 lakh over the previous iteration.
The BMW M340i can be had in five exterior paint schemes, including Arctic Race Blue (new), Fire Red (new), Black Sapphire, Tanzanite Blue, and Dravit Grey. On the inside, the updated sedan gets a new Vernasca leather seat upholstery with M stitching. Then, there are features such as a 14.9-inch infotainment screen, 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, redesigned AC vents, three-zone climate control, and the BMW’s latest 8.5 operating system.
Mechanically, the BMW M340i is powered by a 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbo-petrol engine coupled with a 48V mild hybrid system and an eight-speed automatic gearbox. This motor is tuned to generate 369bhp and 500Nm of peak torque with a zero to 100kmph sprint time of just 4.4 seconds.
