- Upcoming model to set new standards for Range Rover’s design and on-road dynamics
- A range of six and eight cylinder petrol and diesel engines likely to be offered
The upcoming coupe version of the Range Rover Sport has been spied on test yet again. This new addition, codenamed L560, could be named Range Rover Sport Coupe and take on the BMW X6 as its closest rival.
The coupe model is expected to set new standards for Range Rover’s design and on-road dynamics. A lot of the extra agility and sportier handling will be down to the F-Pace’s suspension bits and lightweight aluminium body. At around 4.7m long, this new model will be a little shorter than the X6 and the Mercedes GLE Coupe. It will, in fact, fit between the Evoque and the Range Rover Sport.
Under the hood, it will be offered with a range of six and eight-cylinder diesel and petrol engines, however, it’s not yet clear if it will get the four-cylinder engines from the Jaguar F-Pace. It could also feature an all-electric powertrain currently seen in the I-Pace.
We expect the Range Rover Sport Coupe to be revealed in the coming months. When launched, it will take on the BMW X6 and the Mercedes GLE Coupe.
