The upcoming Audi Q5 rivalling Porsche Macan will get two V6 petrol mills and will be launched at the upcoming LA Auto Show slated to begin on November 22. The information has reached the interweb, courtesy of Jalopnik, via a leaked presentation from a Porsche dealer. It (the presentation) has also revealed details about the new Porsche 911 Targa, 2014 Boxster GTS and the Cayman GTS.
The Porsche Macan S will get a 3.0-litre V6 engine while the Macan Turbo will get a 3.6-litre V6 mill and should both outputs in the region of 300PS to 400PS. While these are the higher spec models, we expect that standard models will get similar engines but in lower states of tune. The report suggest that the cars will be priced 52, 000 USD (Rs 32.50 lakh) and 75, 000 USD (Rs 46.87 lakh). The seven-speed PDK box is expected to be standard across the range.
The Porsche 911 Targa and the Targa S is expected to debut at the 2014 Detroit Motor Show and is based on the Carrera and Carrera 4S. For the first time Porsche has given the Targa a fully automatic roof and that it should make it a hit among the new generation of Porsche customers.
Finally, the presentation has also revealed that 2014 Boxster GTS and Cayman GTS will get a 16PS jump in power over the current models, manual transmission with an option to fit a PDK gearbox. Some of its new features 20-inch Carrera wheels, leather interior options as well as an upgraded steering wheel. It is expected to be launched at the Beijing Motor Show next year.
