Jeep has revealed the details for the limited edition Wrangler. The UK-bound special edition Jeep Wrangler marks the iconic 4x4 brand’s 75th birthday. The special edition SUV was last showcased in March at the Geneva Motor Show. Moreover, the current 2016 model also gets a raft of enhancements.
Jeep has updated the 2016 Wrangler’s 2.8-litre diesel engine to meet the Euro 6 emission standards. Its three versions have also received fresh upgrades. The Sahara version now gets 18-inch polished satin alloy wheels, front side airbags, deep-tint sunscreen glass and 3.73 rear axle ratio. The Overland version gets front side airbags and 3.73 rear axle ratio. The Rubicon version gets front side airbags, 18-inch Rubicon satin alloy wheels, deep-tint sunscreen glass, mopar slush mats and black, heated leather seats.
For exclusivity, Jeep has restricted the Wrangler 75th Anniversary edition to only 85 units. Based on the Overland model, the special edition SUV will additionally get a bronze-finished front grille, 18-inch alloy wheels, body-coloured dual top, Mopar slush mats, unique bronze and orange Jeep badging, and a dedicated 75th Anniversary badge. The limited edition SUV will be offered in three shades - bright white, solid black and sarge green. As for the interior, it will get ‘1941’ embossed leather heated seats in black or saddle brown and tangerine (leather with fabric inserts), bronze accents on the air vents and grab handles, satnav with an Alpine premium sound system and deep tinted sunscreen glass.
The regular 2016 Jeep Wrangler starts at £31,840 OTR (Rs 28.64 lakh), while the Jeep Wrangler 75th Anniversary starts at £34,765 OTR (Rs 31.27 lakh).
