TVR has teased its new 320kmph supercar ahead of its debut at the Goodwood Revival, in September. With a price tag of GBP 90,000 (Rs 74.77 lakh), the launch edition version will be produced in a limited run of just 500 units.
While TVR has so far refused to divulge crucial details about this supercar, including its moniker, we do know that it has been designed in conjunction with Gordon Murray, the man behind the iconic McLaren F1. It will get a Cosworth-developed V8 under the hood. This engine will develop 480bhp which should be good enough to propel the 1200 kilogram car from 0-60kmph in 4 seconds. This will be TVR's first new model for well over a decade, and will be a commemoration of the British car maker’s 70th anniversary.
Even though TVR is refusing to give out details about the supercar, it has already started accepting bookings for it. While this might have made for an absurd sales pitch till a few years ago, the company has received a good response for the supercar. Expect more details to be revealed as we get closer to the launch date.
