The TVR name is making a comeback and in its revival, it is doing what it does best – making sports cars. Yes, the famous British manufacturer has released its second teaser image for a new V8 powered sports car which will make its debut at the 2017 Goodwood Revival in September.
Here is the biggest kicker, which is that this new car is expected to revive the Griffith moniker, a name that has been lost to TVR history for quite a while now. While there is still little uncertainty to this, what we are sure about is that this car is being powered by a brand new naturally aspirated 5.0-litre Cosworth V8 engine mated a six-speed manual!
The teaser images show traditional British sports car lines, but unlike the stacked headlamp setup of the previous Griffith, this car will have projectors with LED DRLs. Things should get even more exciting as TVR has revealed a 1.2-tonne weight, a final design penned by the legendary Gordon Murray, as well as a launch edition for the debut.
It may not be a well-known brand outside of the UK but among enthusiasts, the TVR brand name has always stood for one of the companies that managed to keep the concept of the two-door British sports car alive and relevant into the new decade.
